Jess' Baby Shower
I literally adore my sister in law.
She is one of loveliest people I know.
In fact, I met here before my brother in law, on a hen in Ibiza.
She was performing on stage with Leftfield and we were
hypnotised by her.
When she turned up at our villa later that night (or morning by then!)
I got chatting with her and realised that she is a great beauty inside and out.
I had one of those rare moments where you meet someone and just think
‘Wow you're amazing. How do I get you in my life?’
And then my brother in law met her (not through me) a few months later and clearly
thought exactly the same!
They have been together a few years and are now expecting their first baby
together. Very exciting. So obviously I offered to do the cake table. And also host
the party. It was a great event. There where probably around 60 or 70 people there.
I made a ‘Cuddly Toy Sheep Cake’, This was the same technique as I used for Teddy’s
1st birthday Teddy Bear Cake. ’ Baby Vest & booty biscuits’, ‘Bottle Biscuits’,
‘Baby Cakes’ and Bunting Cupcakes’. I also made some healthy fruit skewers.
It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. And I did have some help from my children. Although
some would say more hindrance….
Pop Up Cake Stand at Expedia Company Event
Egencia through the looking glass was a fab event for the corporate arm of Expedia. It was a client event and our 'cupcake decorating stand' was a big hit. The were thrilled with how quickly they picked up the swirl techniques and it was the perfect finish to the delicious barbecue that everyone had indulged in. The Mad Hatter AKA was entertaining everyone with magic tricks and there were giant board games to play on. The sun shone and the views were incredible. A memorable event and a great time had by all.
What is the most fun activity that you've done at an event?
Client Event for 02 and Samsung
There is pretty much nothing I like better than coming up with a new idea. So when Samsung asked me to create an experience to celebrate the launch of the Samsung Note I thought that icing and decorating gingerbread men would be ideal. The 02 staff had so much fun, popping down in their lunch break and throughout the day between meeting etc. I was very impressed by the standard of some of the biscuits. Particularly the mermaid, the children and the Halloween characters.
Office Event at Olympia
Just don't mention the drapes! (I spent the whole time having to re attach them which is why I look so serious!)
As you can see the ' Cookie Girl's Cottage' stand that we created for the Office Show at Olympia was a huge hit. Attendees had a fab time creating beautiful cupcakes that they then showed off in a number of different 'scenes'. We had an Alice in Wonderland miniature room. A teddy bear's picnic and you could even be crowned the 'Cupcake Queen'. Unsurprisingly this proved to be very popular, proving that none of us ever really grow up. Having so many people getting involved 'hands on' gave us a great opportunity to explain to them that although the activity is a huge amount of fun there are also great benefits to a company when the offer their employees this experience. Creating Successful Conferences
Recent studies have proved that delegates who take part in an immersive event as part of their training days and conferences are able to absorb and retain a far greater amount of information than if they are merely listening to speakers and watching a powerpoint presentation.
The key is to offer an activity that utilises all 5 of their senses. As touch, sound, sight, taste and smell each activate a different brain portal it’s essential that you engage each sense in order to ensure that your staff are working to their maximum capacity before, during and after an event.
Our cookie, cake and cupcake baking and decorating activities engage all 5 senses simultaneously. What’s even better is that your delegates, staff or clients will be having so much fun during the class that no one will suspect that the event they are taking part in will also improve their productivity!
Our events focus on effective communication and team work to achieve a common goal which means that your employees improve their working relationships and you can forge deeper bonds with your clients. We are also able to craft a bespoke package to ensure the desired business outcome for your event.
